Hello to All,
Greetings to you all again! We are always pleased and so happy to share with you our RBW NGO’s ongoing work.
Praise God we have finished the year of 2016 and have accomplished all our work in the signed agreement with the Ethiopian Charity and Society Agency and also BOFED (which means Yeka sub city Finance and Economy Bureau). The NGO was even able to accomplish more than the agreement required. We had such great support on many things. For example, we gave clothes three times this last year to all the beneficiaries, plus extra times of feeding the families at the office because of volunteers that helped us.
The quarterly plans of support were fully done even with budget increases of purchasing uniforms and nutritional food support. We also had extra expenses with the special needs children’s support and widows’ training, but are so grateful to see the progress. The first 10 widows and single mothers of 2015 have completed the program and when we have the general assembly meeting they will receive their savings books that have recorded all the money they have saved.
The 10 single mothers and widows of 2016 will continue the savings program until the end of 2017, and then they will be out of the program also receiving their savings. We will continue with more widows and single mothers in 2018.
All this can happen because of God’s great help and your contributions.
Let me share with you what we have accomplished in this month: we have distributed food support, wheat flour for all 75 beneficiaries, we gave them all a New Year’s gift of 150 birr for each family, and we had fellowship together the end of December in our RBW Office. We had a very nice time and we sang a song I HAVE GOT JOY in English.
We have rented two high speed Singer sewing machines for our widows and single mothers and they started a special two month course with Sister Lemlem and our volunteer Rebekah. The women are working to make rags from pieces of cloth to sell in cafeterias, taxi stations, and other places to use as wiper or cleaners.
Our work shows progress month by month and year by year, we give glory and praise for our God and we thank all of you for your love and support.
Thank you so much for your standing with us. The year 2017 will also be a blessing and help us to stretch forward with victory. Amen.
