Hello to All,
Greetings again from here in Ethiopia from the Reaching Beyond Words NGO.
We are always so very happy to share with you our RBW NGO’s work.
We have accomplished the following things in the month of May 2017. As we have shared before we always have meetings once in a month with all our children and their families. One Sunday meeting this past month we had a discussion about the sustainability work. The government operational area representatives were attending this meeting and giving strong advise to all families to be hard workers and to obey and cooperate when the opportunities of work or training is provided by the Reaching Beyond Words NGO. Then it was a very nice meeting time, our five widows shared about their work with their small businesses and two of the other ladies also got jobs and are now employed by ETB earning 1000 birr in a month.
We have also gotten free training opportunities from Selam Technical Vocational center in different things like metal work and construction. Three of our children’s family members have started the training; two of them are men and one lady. We are quite excited about these new opportunities.
The Philippine missionaries, Brother Elias Bancale and his wife Sister Bernadette, really blessed the children by doing a feeding program. They feed all our children once a month on Saturday morning.
We have purchased shoes for all our 75 children and distributed them. Our special need children support is continuing and they are very happy by the support. Our tutorial class is continuing, working hard to help improve the grades of the children that need extra help. The widows and single mothers’ training is continuing very well with Sister Lemlem as well.
