For us in Uganda it is considered the wet season with some heavy tropical downpours and high humidity. Often one of the wettest times of year.
In Ethiopia it is in the Belg (or Tsedey/autumn season), which lasts from March to May. This is characterized with light showers and warmer temperatures, leading into the main rainy season. May is often the hottest month.
We would like to greet everyone and share news from Ethiopia and Uganda.
In Ethiopia we are busy as always. For us we are facing some difficult challenges concerning transportation, the cost of fuel is so high that the public bus and taxi businesses have almost shut down. If you can find a bus the line is very long. Many people are now having to walk even longer distances. The schools are also having issues getting the children to school. We at Reaching Beyond Words are managing the best we can. Fortunately the children and families live fairly close to be able to walk to school and the different programs we have at Reaching Beyond Words Ethiopia.

We received free special training from Birra Genet Charity Org., for our 12 widows, they taught them about savings, time management, how to create a job and more. It was a very profitable time, may God bless them.
We had a wonderful time with the younger children last week, teaching them Bible stories and coloring from our special coloring book. We also shared a yummy meal together. Also all the children had a meal together that the Filipino brethren prepared. 🙂

we like our injera

You might remember we mentioned Abyot Tadedse our special needs child’s mother was given a little parcel of land to build a “house”, the project has started and we will include a picture here.

Thank You for continuing to pray for the work in Ethiopia. Challenges might arise but as in the song we are including that the younger children sang, “GOD IS GOOD TO ME”. The words are God is good to me, God is good to me, he holds my hand and let me stand. God is good to me, God is good to me, he holds me tight and helps me fight. God is good to me. Yes Amen.
In Uganda we also keep quite busy with all the activities. Omara Aaron has started his vocational carpentry schooling. He definitely has a talent for woodworking. :):)
Please pray with us in Uganda, we are in need of a vehicle as our current car is continually breaking down and the repairs are too costly. We are believing the God of the impossible will provide!!

Thank you for your prayers. Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!
