Hello to All,
Greetings again from here at the Ethiopian Reaching Beyond Words, NGO.
We are so happy to share with you the work that has been going on in the month of July at the NGO.
The children were quite happy as they finalized their school year of 2009 (Ethiopian calendar), all received their report cards and are now promoted to the next grade or level.
Ten children got above 90% average on their grades, 20 children got above 85% average and 12 children result shows from 1st up to 10th. Our kindergarten students graduated and are also promoted to grade 1, therefore we are very glad and happy by their results.
We purchased and distributed the nutrition food support for all our children and their families. We had special counseling day with our young female children. I was giving advise and discussing about their personal hygiene, education and other problems in the school area. It was very nice, they were very happy and they shared with me clearly what they face.
We also have a teaching program for our young male and female children every Sunday afternoon in our office. I teach them moral teaching and English. Brother Fikre also teaches sound moral values with me. All in all our ongoing work is continuing with good progress.
We do continue to have a monthly meeting with all the children as well as their families. It is always a good time.
