To Our Dear Donors and Sponsors: We are sincerely grateful to all of you who have always stood with Reaching Beyond Word (RBW). Thank you for your love, your prayers, and your faithful support. May God bless you abundantly and reward the work of your hands.
UPDATE ON THE CHILDREN: Right now, most of our children are on a three-week holiday break, which will end on 5th September 2026. The children are doing well. Even on holiday, they are keeping busy with a lot of school work.
UVTAB EXAMINATIONS: We have four children preparing for their final UVTAB (Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board) examinations on 18th September 2026. UVTAB assesses and certifies competencies obtained through formal and informal technical and vocational education. Please pray for them as they prepare:
- Samuel: Electrical Installation
- Aber: Hairdressing
- Ruth: Building & Construction, wants to be an architect
- Lucky: Tailoring and Garment Design
They are all preparing diligently for this important assessment.
OTHER CHILDREN
- Stephen: Is doing well. He goes to the carpentry workshop Monday to Saturday. He earns pocket money and is learning and growing so much through the work.
- Omara: Came back home for a one-month holiday. He has been working hard in carpentry to earn money to buy his personal school requirements. He truly loves what he is doing.
- Daphine: Is currently on break because schools are on holiday. When children return to school, she will be busy with the school canteen work.
- Melvin: Will begin running the second school canteen when the school report season starts on 15th September 2026.
This month, we faced a challenge when Samuel fell sick with malaria. We took him to the hospital for the first treatment, but it did not work. We are grateful that after the second malaria treatment quinine, he began to improve. To get Samuel to the hospital we had to use a motorcycle, which was a bit rough for Samuel. Please continue to pray with us for a vehicle for the mission house. Fortunately we getting closer to our financial goal for a vehicle only about $4000 away, PRAISE GOD!!
We thank God for Okech and Melvin, who were home and supported Samuel, helping him to walk and recover. Samuel is still weak due to excessive vomiting, but we believe by the time he returns to school, he will be much stronger.
