We are excited to share some news, updates and happenings here at the Ethiopia Reaching Beyond Words program. In the month of August, we had meetings with all the children and mothers, plus individual meetings, with the mothers and also with the children. The general meeting with everyone addresses ways to improve hygiene, how to parent a child and for the children how to hear and follow good instruction. All the teaching and instructions are given with the salvation message as the only true way to better our lives.The social worker visited each of the families homes, always striving to help each family learn how to improve their standard of living.
The teaching time with the 13 year olds and younger was a lot of fun. We used songs, the book Treasure Beyond the Veil and flannel grafts. One of the stories was found in Daniel about the 3 Hebrews that made a choice to follow God even if it meant being thrown into the fiery furnace. The children love to hear the stories.
The month of August is our last month of the year 2018. Wheat flour and edible oil with a special gift to each was given in August too.
Worknesh Ali one of the supported widows is going to have a procedure done on her back, please pray with us for the surgery to be successful and for a quick recovery. Reaching Beyond Words Ethiopia was able to give her some extra support towards some of her financial needs. We are so grateful for the faithful donors that lovingly and prayerfully give to the work.
