Dear Sponsors & Friends of the KMM School,
Our recent 2015-2016 school term ended in March and summer school began in April for all students that were in need of reinforcing their learning skills. We are so grateful for such a tremendous year with over 182 students in attendance. We are also very grateful for the generous donations of many that made it possible for us to have weekly feedings for the school and staff for the entire 2015-2016 school term. This is a very needful and essential program to help the children get a well-balanced meal with meat, rice, and vegetables.
For this month of May the staff is concentrating on preparing the KMM School for another school term which begins in June.
As we have done in the past years, we continue to add a grade to our school so we do not lose our current students in the highest grade; therefore, we are hiring a new teacher for the sixth grade. Our total enrollment will be set at 205 children.
When the team from the U.S.A. were at the school in February, it was necessary to make an assessment on repairs and improvements that would be needed for the upcoming school term.
Some of those improvements are:
- New screening on windows in the main building.
- Leveling of ground and new flooring in front of stage area.
- Light fixtures and clear roof panels for the ceiling of the stage and seating area.
- Additional fans for several of the new classrooms.
- Constructing a secondary roof to reduce heat in an existing room that will now be used for a classroom.
- Construction of chairs and tables for the sixth grade.
- General painting of rooms and furniture as needed.
- Purchase of 75 chairs for events and assemblies at the stage area.
- Building sound barriers to reduce the street noise.
We have put together a list of items that the KMM School will need to cover the materials and labor for reconstruction and summer repairs. In addition, we have also included in the list the needs for staff uniforms and for the indigent children without sponsors for the cost for their books and uniforms.
We put these needs before you to prayerfully consider them and what your participation might be to help defray the cost.
If you would like to help, please send your offerings and gifts to:

Presently we have 99 children who are sponsored on a monthly basis as a student at the school. There are 55 sponsors from the U.S.A., 40 from the Czech Republic, and 4 from Nigeria. In order for the school to be fully supported through sponsorships, we are in need of at least 70 more sponsors. If you know of anyone that would like to sponsor a child, please contact us for more information.
Also remember, 100% of every dollar that is donated for sponsorship and support of the school is given directly to the KMM School.
Reaching Beyond Words is also a 501(c)3 organization so ALL contributions are tax deductible with the U.S. Government.
We do thank you for your faithful support on behalf of the school. May God bless you for your diligence and sincere hearts in supporting those that are considered the most destitute in the Philippines.
God bless you,
KMMS Team
