Hello and Greetings from Africa,
Did last year go by fast for you too? To be in a new year already sometimes is hard to believe. We have mentioned this before that in Ethiopia the Ethiopian calendar (Ge’ez calendar) is 7 to 8 years behind the Gregorian calendar. The Ethiopian calendar is a 13-month calendar. The first 12 months of the year all have 30 days, but the final month has 5 days. So, it is 2018 in Ethiopia right now. 😊
We would like to share some of what is happening in the programs at this time. In Ethiopia Brother Tomas has joined Brother Jemal to hold special meetings. Here is a note from Brother Tomas “Today, we had teaching for ladies (widows and single mothers) in the morning. An Intensive word about raising children and the importance of spending personal time with them. In the afternoon 10 came and we had a very good time of personal sharing and prayers for different needs. God was very good to us today. Two ladies received Jesus as their savior.” The time with children is going very well too. We will include some pictures. 😊😊

In Uganda, the children have gone back to school starting this week after the holiday break. We have pictures we will send too. One picture you will see Melvin at the sewing machine at the mission house, as he is in vocational school to be a tailor. In the picture of Melvin at the sewing machine, you will notice a light he had to wear on his head as the electricity was off. In Africa many times the electricity will all of a sudden be off. Another picture shows Omara Aaron building a cabinet and shelves. Over the holidays he worked as an apprentice at a local carpentry shop. The shop does not pay anything, but it was good practice for Aaron. You will also see a picture of the harvest of Matooke, plantain and sweet banana. It has been busy the last few months as over the holidays there was a seminar where many from different parts of Africa came to together to hear God’s word. It was a wonderful time.

Here you can have a taste of praise and worship during the Kampala Camp! It was a blessed time.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS, IT MEANS A LOT TO US!!
God Bless You all for your faithfulness, seeds are being planted, and lives are growing and being nurtured in God.
