The first month of our new school year has passed and so we have some exciting news to share with you. We now have 91 children enrolled in the school, 70 of which are indigent. The remaining 21 students also come from lower-income families, however, they are able to pay a small tuition and purchase their own books and uniforms.
We have been able to open four grades this year: Kindergarten and Grades 1-3. Kindergarten and Grade 2 runs different sessions in the morning and in the afternoon in order to accommodate the larger number of children in those grades. Grades 1 and 3 are able to have their classes all day long. If you would like to see the class schedules in detail, please follow this link.
The staff gathers together every morning for 15 minutes before the classes start to pray and sing together and dedicate the children and daily activities into God’s hands. Our new principal and two new teachers perfectly fit the school culture and are a great asset to the team. We are hoping to be able to introduce them to you one by one in the weeks to come.
And the children? They are very lively as usual. It is good for them to spend their time in an environment that is conducive to righteousness. We trust this year will bring much blessing to their little souls.
