The months of January and February have been busy in polishing our program’s procedures and establishing relationships with the families of the children we sponsor. The families were blessed by receiving supplementary food, body soap, and house cleaning materials to assist in helping these needy children eat and be clean. We are planning to provide training for the parents so they would be able to obtain better jobs and thus provide for their family needs.
The children are so happy for the provision our program offers to them. In addition to the food and other supplies, we were able to share some clothing with them also. One little six-year-old girl wept upon receiving new clothes as what she had was very torn. We learned that her mother, the only parent she has, is currently without a job. They have no home but try to stay with different people for a few days at a time. We were very humbled to see the needs of this little one met.
In order to cover our program’s expenses, we have started a fundraiser selling Ethiopian coffee. By the grace of God, we were given an access to freshly roasted gourmet coffees from a roaster located close to our US base. It has been a great blessing. Even though it hasn’t covered much of our monthly budget yet, it has a great potential to do so. If you would like to purchase any of these outstanding coffees, please do not hesitate to visit us at http://MoreThanCoffee.info.
Thank you for keeping in touch with us. We will keep you updated.
