We are so excited to announce that at the Reaching Beyond Words NGO in Ethiopia not only the printed Bible in Amharic, but also the audio Amharic Bible has arrived to the NGO. God’s word has such power and life that it’s been a desire of the RBW NGO to make sure it’s available to those in the program. For some the challenge for them is they cannot read, so a written Bible doesn’t help them, no longer is that a hindrance as the audio Amharic Bible has arrived to the NGO. It took some persistence to get a Amharic audio Bible as they are not readily available in Addis Ababa. This is a BIG PRAISE THE LORD!!
Brother Jemal and Brother Azmach Abera demonstrated to the ladies that cannot read how to use the audio Bibles. June 10th 2024 those that could read received their own copy of the written Bible and for those that cannot read received their own copy of the audio Bible, all in Amharic!!
Another aspiration of the NGO is to have teaching materials in Amharic. The book mystery Beyond the Veil is an excellent explanation of Moses tabernacle for younger readers, it compliments the Pattern written by Brother duCille. We have the book the Pattern in Amharic, and soon will have the Mystery Beyond the Veil in Amharic. The treasure beyond the veil activity has been successfully translated into Amharic. We are very grateful to Brother Jemal and Brother Esehtu Taye for diligently working on the not so easy task of translating these books from English to Amharic.
There is much activity at the NGO each month, doing tutorial classes, training the widows and single mothers, passing out nutritional staples for all the families as well as soap and other practical hygiene items. Just to name a few. The daily activity keeps those working at the NGO very busy.
