Hello To All,
It’s a great pleasure for us to share with you again our Reaching Beyond Words Ethiopian NGO’s monthly report for February. This month we have had a very wonderful time in many ways. We continue to have meetings with the orphans, beneficiaries, and their families, teaching fundamentals on how to live a better and healthier life. The children’s tutorial classes are very nice and we teach them about living a life of integrity as well as learning English and Math. The social worker is keeping busy visiting the houses of the beneficiaries and counseling their families in how to lead and raise their children in right ways.
Some of you might have heard how we outgrew our old office space. We are rejoicing as we were able to find a larger space and it is nearby our old office. It has room enough for the office staff as well as a room to conduct our classes with both the children and the classes for the widows and mothers. We rented and moved into the New RBW Office the first of February and now we are working our work enjoying the extra room. Our ten widows and mothers are continuing their training with good progress, all of them attending and following properly. Sister Lemlem is helping them strongly with good effort. The ten widows and mothers who received seed money in 2015 are continuing their work strongly. We visit them regularly and encourage them to keep up the good work. They are continuing the training on how to make and save money; each week they are putting some in the bank which shows very nice progress for their hard work, praise God for them. We have distributed school materials to all our 75 children. For example, they all received books, pens, and pencils which they are very happy for and say thank you very much. We are continuing to get donations from here and it has been such a help. The beneficiaries continue to get free medical care for themselves and their families, as we have partnered with another local NGO for that purpose, what a blessing!
Our audit work is finished and the numbers are very good showing the administrative costs came out below the allowed 30% and the program cost was a little more than 70%. It shows more is going to the beneficiaries as we diligently work to better their lives. We decided to do the general assembly meeting, which is required by law, on March 12th, 2016. Please keep us in your thoughts as this ongoing work continues, that we have wisdom on how to help all involved in the best and most efficient ways.
Thank you for all your love and contribution to this much needed work.
God bless you All!
Brother Jemal and the Ethiopian Reaching Beyond Words Staff
