We have some great news from Uganda, Brother Godfrey and Sister Concy, our program directors have welcomed their 5th child on January 29th at eleven minutes past twelve noon. He weighs in at 3.2 kilos( 7.716 pounds). Praise God we are all rejoicing for this healthy new addition to the family.

It seemed like an uneventful day as Sister Concy went about her business, but later in the day she noticed her stomach feeling very tight so she contacted her husband and they went to the hospital. In Uganda traffic can be a problem and even though it was around 10pm the traffic was heavy, it was almost midnight before they got to the hospital. When they checked sister Concy she was already dilated to 3-4 centimeters, but so far no contractions, all Sister Concy wanted to do is sleep and that she did until about 7am the next morning, she was now dilated to 5 centimeters and still no contractions.
The Doctors decided this little ones time was now so they induced labor and shortly after noon he was born. The first picture in this post shows Josiah with a onsie that says ” My heart belongs to Daddy”, really at this point mommy is his favorite. Just like his Brother Jess he likes to eat and will let you know when it’s time. :):) Baby and mommy were doing so well that they went home from the hospital on Friday evening. Brothers and Sister Johanna are so happy to see their brother Josiah, everyone wants to hold him.
