Hello to all,
We would like to send our greetings to all of you and thank God again and again for His help in all our work.
We have much that was accomplished in the month of May here at the Ethiopian Reaching Beyond Words NGO. One highlight that was encouraging for us is that the Charities and Society office, as well as the Sub City Finance and Economy for Women, Children and Youth office here in Addis, visited our program. They came to evaluate the RBW NGO and after looking at all our documents and also spending time talking to some of the beneficiaries and widows, they told us they were pleased with the work the NGO is doing and felt they saw good improvements in the program this year. The evaluation was very successful. It is important to us at the NGO to do the best job we can in helping the beneficiaries and their families, as well as the single mothers and widows, so the good report helped us know our hard work is paying off.
The meetings with the children we have every Saturday morning for three hours are going very well, it helps the beneficiaries with extra help with their school studies as well as working on sound moral principles. Once a month we meet with the beneficiaries and their families, as well.
We had some special guests visit us from the United States, Brother Mark Jantzi and Brother Jim Cassell. It was a timely visit as the single mothers and widows were graduating from their three month training program on the 28th of May. As part of the graduation ceremony, the brothers shared a very good medical teaching to help the ladies on practical, everyday health care.
Through the Charity office they gave us a contact from an organization that gave us some very nice office furniture which included some desks and chairs. It was a needed provision that we are very grateful for.
The days seem to go by so quickly, but we are so thankful for this ongoing work. With each challenge of keeping the NGO running smoothly, we must say it is a work in progress and we so appreciate all those that have helped us along the way.
God Bless You All,
Brother Jemal and the Ethiopian RBW NGO Staff
