Hello to All,
Greetings from sunny Ethiopia. As we have mentioned before, we are very glad to share with you the work of the NGO in Addis Ababa. In the month of March 2019, we had meetings with our children and their families as usual. We hold a general meeting once a month and in this meeting we helped to discuss different issues of the children as well as the families.
In the month of March we were very busy by so many things! We purchased and distributed clothes for all our children, and we had a feeding program, which is always a big hit. This special feeding program was started 3 years ago, which we do once a month. This time we had a surprise as Sister Thesay Roch, the founder of Selam Children’s Village, came and supplied the food with the Filipino missionaries, Elias Bancale and his wife. Sister Thesay also brought some guests from Switzerland. May God bless them mightily.
All our other ongoing work is continuing with progress. We also had the Annual Year General Assembly meeting and it was very successful. One of our trained widows, Hagre Temesgen, had made coffee matts with the writing Reaching Beyond Words name in a very artistic way and it was sold for 1800 Birr during our General Assembly meeting. From that day Hagre got 500 Birr for her income and the organization got 1500 Birr. Quite a blessing.
We have two new board members: Brother Zelalem Afework and Brother Wudalem Kasse.
We know that this work is continued by your sacrificial and lovely contributions. We greatly acknowledge and thank you for all you have done.
